How To Solve pip’ is not recognized as an internal or external command?

Question: How To Solve pip’ is not recognized as an internal or external command?
Answer: To solve pip’ is not recognized as an internal or external command You Just need to add the PATH of your pip installation to your PATH system variable. By default, pip is installed to C:\Python34\Scripts\pip (pip now comes bundled with new versions of python), so the path “C:\Python34\Scripts” needs to be added to your PATH variable.

Solution 1

You Just need to add the PATH of your pip installation to your PATH system variable. By default, pip is installed to C:\Python34\Scripts\pip (pip now comes bundled with new versions of python), so the path “C:\Python34\Scripts” needs to be added to your PATH variable.

  1. Open Search, type in “environment variable”, and choose “Edit the system environment variables”.
  2. Click on “Environment Variables…”.
  3. Click on System Variables
  4. Click On PATH variable.
  5. Fill in the “variable value” with the path to where Java is installed on your computer. (for me it was under C:\Python34\Scripts)
  6. Click “OK” and close all dialogs.
  7. Restart your IDE / Terminal. (do not skip this step)

OR

Just type this command in your terminal

set PATH=%PATH%;C:\Python34\Scripts

worked immediately (try after echo %PATH% and you will see that your path has the value C:\Python34\Scripts).

Solution 2

For Windows, when you install a package, just type:

python -m pip install [Your packagename]

Solution 3

Go to control Panel >> Uninstall or change Program and double click on Python XXX to modify install. Make sure PIP component is checked and install. Then Check “Add Python to environment variables” -> Install.
